Hello all! Welcome to Green Slipstream; a community dedicated to anything and everything Formula E. As a motorsports fan I've always believed that racing should always push car technology forward. For a while racing hasn't really been on the cutting edge of automotive technology and with the industry's push on green technology, I believe it's about time racing becomes the hotbed of new innovative technology again for this field.
I must stress that I'm not against the traditional internal combustion engine. I am an IndyCar and F1 fan. Yet, despite that, I do find myself intrigued by what's about to come purely from a technological standpoint, and it seems that FE cars might not be too reliant on downforce, which will hopefully make the racing exciting to watch on TV. I suppose I can personally trade in the noise for the technological innovation, after all I still have my IndyCar and F1 if I end up dearly missing the noise. So, I hope you'll join me in dissecting and discussing Formula E as we're just about under a year until the inaugural season. It'll be fun to see if this'll be the start of something great
As for the forums themselves, I hope there won't be a ton of problems in the future. Please just respect other members and try to refrain from ad hominem attacks. Understandably, Formula E is a very controversial addition to motorsports and it represents a future that not a lot of petrol heads like. This is not a forum meant for bashing either sides. While this is a forum heavily dedicated to the green side of racing (specifically Formula E) I encourage any and all discussions about it.
You do not have to like Formula E to participate in this forum. But just know that this community was created for any potential Formula E fans.
Just use your best judgment. Thanks.
